DNAConnect is a comprehensive forensic data management platform that bridges the gap between law enforcement investigators who want to use Rapid DNA to generate leads and forensic scientists who need to ensure the integrity of DNA results. Through an automated reachback support system, DNAConnect seamlessly integrates non-scientists deployed in the field with DNA analysts in crime laboratories.
Effective July 2025, the FBI’s Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) Section 19 establishes requirements for using Rapid DNA systems in casework outside traditional laboratory settings. DNAConnect is specifically designed to comply with these new QAS Section 19 standards, enabling accelerated DNA processing and enhanced collaboration between police departments and crime laboratories while maintaining forensic integrity.
